Blue Reflection: Second Light
- Unlike the first game, you are no longer healed after each battle, and you now have items to use in battles. Craft healing items early and often. In particular, you will have to craft items for revival as there are very few ways to do so with skills.
- Offense items are effective even against bosses, including status ailments.
- Dates are crucial for the majority of character growth, so start doing them as soon as they're convenient for you. You'll get the majority of Fragments and Talent Points after completing them, so don't put them off for too long. Talent levels unlock passive skills, most battle skills, and eventually increase maximum Gear level and ether.
- The dialogue choices in dates determine which Fragment you get afterward, but they have generic functions that are duplicated many times, so you don't need to worry about getting a particular one. You will receive the same amount of Talent Points after a date regardless of your answers.
- Some dates are only available after developing certain facilities in the school.
- It is not possible to max out all characters in one playthrough, but clear data will allow half of all earned points (including levels) to carry over.
- You can save at any point during a stealth mission so you won't have to restart from the beginning if you're spotted.
- In any instance where you're asked to pick a character to agree with/support/consult with, your choice gets bonus Talent Points. This includes cutscenes (which are always fully voiced) and story objectives. The largest such bonus is in chapter 7.
- Prioritize spending TP on unlocking Fragment slots (particularly for Ao since she gets TP the slowest), then on crafting abilities to improve the items you create. For Yuki, unlock Initial Ether Speed +30 for other characters first to start them in battle at Gear 2, giving them more actions for their first turn.
- Shiho is more effective as a healer and supporter than Rena is, even though she can't use her healing spells on her first turn (unless Yuki has Shiho's Initial Ether Speed +30 talent).
- Create a separate save file right before the final battle.
- If you reached maximum Talent level with the girl you do your final in-game interaction with, her last cutscene will be extended.
