Resident Evil: Revelations 2
- Get all three upgrades for Moira's crowbar and she can handle pretty much any rank-and-file Afflicted on her own. You can save a ton of ammo this way.
- When you encounter the Sploders(enemies that swell up and burst), don't waste bullets on them. Just run up to them and when they start to bubble, evade away and they'll explode harmlessly.
- The game is pretty generous with the supplies for subweapons, so don't hesitate to throw one if you're outnumbered. But don't use them in the water!
- The Vulcanblubbers (fat fire-throwing minibosses) take reduced damage to their bodies, but are extra vulnerable to headshots.
- Two things about the knife that make it much more useful; you can swing it continuously by holding the button, and you can move while doing it. Slower enemies can be easily dealt with by moving backwards while slashing constantly.
- In the first sewer section of Claire's Chapter Three, look for a large waterfall. Go through it, climb up on the walls and go across the pipes to find a crank. Turn it completely (it will take a while) and seemingly nothing happens, but you just opened a gate in Barry's next section that holds his best weapon.
- The Glasps (invisible bug monsters) can be revealed with a Smoke Bottle. It will also daze them for a bit, making it easy to get the "kill a Glasp with a knife" medal. Tossing a bomb in their general direction will also do the job.
- In the mansion section of Barry's Chapter Four, make good use of Natalia's monster-sense. There are many powerful foes hidden right behind corners, and you don't want them getting the drop on you.
- After the boss fight in Claire's Chapter Three section, there will be an event where Claire is in danger and the game tells you to mash square to free her. DON'T DO THIS or when you beat the game you will get a bad ending (and miss out on one hell of a final battle). Instead, switch to Moira, move forwards and then follow the action prompts, and you will get the good ending.
