- Don't stress over your dialogue choices. They may change what immediate response you get, but otherwise don't have a strong impact.
- Talk to absolutely everyone in every chapter. You'll know you've found everyone in the hub area because it will pop up a task completion message.
- Don't worry if you don't understand something immediately. Pretty much everything will be explained in some way eventually.
- Pay close attention to the dates in the bottom left corner of the screen when available. This will help you assemble the overall timeline.
- Midway through it will appear to kick you back to the starting screen, with the studio logos slightly modified. Just choose Start to continue.
- While the game has been described in some places as a horror game, it's really more about being creepy, tense, and dreamlike, especially within the communions. There's very little onscreen violence or gore (though there is some blood).
- If the mother-daughter relationships in Everything Everywhere All at Once or Encanto were uncomfortable or upsetting, be prepared for this game to stir up some of the same feelings.
- There are multiple endings, but you don't have to worry about making the choices until an entity specifically asks you to choose what you want to carry forward. If you get a "bad" ending it will immediately boot you back to the beginning of that conversation, so you don't have to worry about keeping multiple saves. The "bad" endings are also brief cutscenes, while the "good" endings are longer and playable.
