• You can only have one status effect at a time, so getting turned to stone (which wears off by itself) is a solution to being poisoned or paralyzed.

• There are a handful of missable items. If you care about being a completionist, talk to everyone after every plot beat.

• Always keep 2-3 antidotes and a warp until you learn the spell.

• You can save in towns.

• Get a map for every dungeon.

• If you can't use an item, turn off everything else in your inventory.

• Always grind a level after you beat a boss.

• You are supposed to fight bosses with charged attacks.
