  • Musubi upgrades can be refunded and reallocated with no loss.
  • In a level, you always want Yoshihiro moving along the spirit path and (if applicable) the carpenter repairing something.
  • If you start a stage and realize you don't have the Guards or Talismans you wanted equipped, you can select Restart from the pause menu and you'll get the option to change equipment. It's faster than leaving the level and going to a camp tent.
  • The game auto-saves at the beginning and end of every night while in a level. Useful if you mess up an objective on the second part of a level. You won't have to start completely over. Choose Load Game instead of Restart.
  • Don't forget to rebuild the stages after you clear them for more Musubi and crystals.
  • You can visit camps to refill your crystals. Unfortunately, there is no quick collect so you'll have to go to each camp and collect the crystals from the tent individually.
  • It's a good idea to go into every new stage with your crystals maxed out.
  • Re-fighting the first boss is a quick way to complete a level to help finish camp rebuilds. Once your Woodcutters are upgraded the fight can be over in 30 seconds or less.
  • A good time to start going back and replaying levels to complete objectives is when you unlock the ability to upgrade Soh.
  • If you're going for the platinum trophy / 100% you'll have to play New Game+. NG+ adds two more objectives to each level so completing the original three on every level before you move to NG+ will make it much quicker and easier to finish.
  • The 3rd boss is a bit of a roadblock. Don't read these tips if you don't want any spoilers.
    • Reallocate all your musubi to Archer and Ascetic, then assign villagers as one ascetic and the rest archers.
    • Before the fight, position each villager by a lantern. You can order people to go beyond the boss barrier.
    • When the fight starts, run around to each lantern and command it to be lit.
    • Once all the lanterns are lit, use the Defend command to send everyone back to Yoshihiro.
    • The archers should be able to hit the sacks on the side of the boss, you should aim for the tongue for the most damage. Especially when the Ascetic slows it down.
    • If the boss is under half health, don't bother re-lighting any lanterns just keep up the attack.
