- The mode that removes the time limit and gives you a standard health bar neglects to mention that checkpoints do not heal you like they would on all other modes. Enemies will not give you any health upon defeating them, either, unless it's a finisher. You're reliant on the vending machines to keep you alive for the duration of the chapter, so even if everything does reduced damage, be careful.
- If there is a pit of some kind and an enemy is on the other side, they can be lured into it if they are alerted by you and you back off. This can also be useful if there's a level hazard that you want to knock an enemy into or blow up to take them out.
- When a weapon is upgraded to level 3, it will remain that way on that save file even if you switch to another weapon.
- At times, you'll run into an enemy where one method of dispatching them is preferred. Just remember that you have a kick and nothing is immune to it so you can set that kill up, but you should also watch out putting yourself into the middle of a mob and getting shot to death for it. The melee weapon finishers (which nothing is immune to, either) are also handy to at least buy you a few seconds to think before you start moving again.
- If a room is annoying and you want to leave, just leave! As long as you're making use of the dash and you have some seconds to spare, you can keep moving to kill easier targets. Just don't let yourself get shot in the back.
