* Explosives are quite good but make a lot of noise. There is also friendly fire damage and some explosives have a much larger blast radius than you think. Same for fire.
* Its a good idea to hold on to serums sometimes if you don't know when you'll get another one. Some attacks do an infection DoT and being able to use a serum to stop it will save your life.
* Don't use explosives indoors. Just don't.
* Respect sentry guns.
* Batteries are the most important resource you have. Spend them wisely.
* Armor is impervious to bullets except for a late game rifle.
