Fields of Mistria
- If you have some resources you don't want available for whatever reason, that's what the first icon on the top of the chest inventory toggles. Rightmost is a trash can when holding an item, in the middle is the arrows for sorting and leftmost is an open chest with an arrow signifying you can use items there for crafting or a closed chest signifying you can't.
- I don't know why it's unbound, but save yourself the hassle and please assign something to the Use Tool (Repeated) keybind. It's a lifesaver when it comes to chopping down trees, mining rocks, planting seeds or using unupgraded tools. Keep (or rebind) the (Charged) binding, it will be very useful when you get upgraded tools, but (Repeated) being semi-hidden should be a crime.
- If you're having problems with heavy slow-down, try turning the In-Game Scale in the Display options down. Turning it down from 6x to 4x pretty much got rid of the issue entirely.
- Don't put off animals. One of the story quests is entirely about their products, and they can be a steady income so you don't have to go a day with empty fields while waiting for your crop income.
- Don't sleep on cooking, almost every dish will pay more than its base ingredients. Sometimes it's a minor bump, other times it's much more. Not every dish will pay out, but thankfully you can see the sell value for both ingredients and the final dish easily while in the cooking menu. Particularly, watch out with dishes using stuff from the mill or bought from the general store, as those are more likely to trip you up.
