We Happy Few
- There are meters for fatigue, hunger, and thirst. While the game is cool with letting you bottom these out and not kill you for that, they will saddle you with appropriate penalties until you sleep, eat, and drink some.
- You can gamble with some rotten food as minor food poisoning will only make you occasionally unable to run and give you double vision until it goes. If you keep going and eat more, though, it will turn serious and you'd best not be near someone who wants trouble.
- Unless it says otherwise, assume that all weapons can kill someone. If you're trying to avoid doing that (like doing a no-kill run for the trophy/achievement), you can swing a branch or pipe at someone until they're low on HP and then KO them with your fists. If you have zero problems with murder, the game provides many avenues for that.
- As you progress through the game, there will be shelters you can use to handle some higher crafting as well as a bed and a storage unit that is accessible from all shelters. Make a habit of dropping off your crafting materials as well as anything heavy that you don't need right this instant because being slow will get you killed if you're forced to fight.
- If you're going to do more fighting than stealth, then you better learn to use the shove so you can break enemy blocks and get on with it.
- Sometimes, the answer is Joy. It's not as threatening as it first seems, but just don't take it all willy-nilly, is all.
- Running away is always a good option if there is a problem. Mind your stamina and find a good spot to hide and you can get away with a lot.
