Black Myth: Wukong

- It's a soft souls game, in that it does have a healing flask and rest shrines and such, but you don't lose XP when you die. I-frame dodging is your biggest defensive tool, so be sure to practice that.
- XP level ups give you "sparks" which are skill points. You get them at a pretty rapid rate, but I recommend taking the first two tiers of the stances, the skill that allows you to block arrows with your staff spin, and also the skill line whose final point lets you maintain your place in your combo when you dodge.
- A lot of attacks that involve Wukong jumping will actually protect you from ground attacks. This includes the final hit of the light combo and some of the heavy attacks.
- All the minibosses are worth doing but some are harder than others. Several are knowledge checks as well, especially after you unlock a new spell or mechanic. The most critical miniboss of the early game is to the left of the Blue Wight miniboss, down a separate path.
- A huge amount of the story is in the codexes that you unlock after beating an enemy.
- Pay careful attention to prompts and skill text. The game will tell you what you need to know, but a lot of it is not very obvious.
