Dragon Age: The Veilguard

• In the character creator, there are options to recreate the Inquisitor (the protagonist of the previous Dragon Age) and set some of the choices they made. These are very easily missable, so be sure to keep an eye out for it if that's something you care about.

• The game also has an option to edit your character customization from the home base, so don't feel like you need to reset if you're not 100% satisfied with what you make initially.

• I don't know if this is carried over from the previous games but the shop/equipment system is weird. Generally any time you find a shop, prioritize buying Curios so when you return to the Lighthouse you can upgrade the upgrade workbench there - all items you find or buy in the world are at the equipment level of your workbench so this ensures you won’t be finding gear too weak to be usable halfway through the game.

• Do sidequests early. There is a big plot event relatively early in the plot where
  one of the two main cities gets wrecked
  . Don’t be like me and miss out on the sidequests there.
