• It's way better to fuse trash weapons together before using them as material for your main weapon. Especially if you can fuse a bunch of weapons into a 'bonus fusing XP' weapon before fusing that one into your main weapon.

• Don't worry about fully upgrading weapons until late game - it's going to be a while before you stop finding weapons that have stronger base stats than previous ones.
