Kii's shop sells character exclusive stigmas but also Supremacy (which boosts buffs) and Inferiority Complex (which boosts debuffs)

Equip protagonist-exclusive stigmas; they typically improve your attacks and dreadnought+ is a game changer.

Everyone's roles (Support, Attacker, Tank, Debuffer, etc.) are listed in the status menu.

Ryuto and Kiriko (and to a lesser extent, Shota) are game-breakers.

Timing is everything, especially when using counter moves.

If you can't get a shield up on time, just sprint away. Try multiple directions and see if any avoid being hit.
