  • You'll always have way more gold than wood. Take advantage of every single opportunity to buy wood that the game presents.
  • There's an unobtrusive "return to a previous chapter" button in the "load game" menu. If you want to change one of your previous decisions, you don't necessarily have to restart the whole game.
  • Keeping or dropping characters isn't a subtle or intricate decision - you basically have to always side with the character in question or risk losing them. Does a character hate monsters or elves? You'll get no chance to explain yourself and convince them to stay if you decide to spare any.
  • Pleasing the dwarf leader changes only the quantity of reinforcements (additional dwarf cards) you are given.
