• The monsters wreathed in a blue outline and the ones that are way bigger than normal have a chance to drop a treasure chest. In addition to the chest including equipment upgrades, it also gives you a big chunk of gold all in one lump sum, which makes them doubly worth going for if you'd like to unlock characters and meta progression at a reasonable pace.

• Once you unlock the second map (Inlaid Library) don't be afraid to play it. It's arguably easier than the map you start on, so don't feel like you need to beat the first map before playing it.
